Career Background

Cliff Siegel has spent the past 40 years in the securities business. His background includes the management of a diverse range of international investment banking and Capital Markets activities including both equity and debt trading, corporate finance, and asset management in Europe and Asia. Cliff is presently the CEO of Calluna Capital, an investment advisory and banking business he set up in at the end of 2020, and also the non-executive Chairman of the European growth company focused investment bank Bryan, Garnier.

Cliff retired from his role as the Vice-Chairman of Stifel Nicolaus Europe Ltd.in the fall of 2020. Stifel purchased ISM Capital, a debt capital markets advisory and banking boutique he founded in late 2008 in April of 2016. From 1990-2008 Cliff was an Executive VP of the Jefferies Group, and CEO of the group’s London based subsidiary Jefferies International. From 1982-90 Cliff was the President of Cresvale International, the NY branch of the global equity- linked trading firm.

Cliff earned his BBA from the University of Michigan in 1979 and grew up outside of Detroit. He has three adult daughters, and lives with his wife in London, England. In the pre-Covid world Cliff was an avid basketball and tennis player, but now makes do with a lot of bike riding and walking. He remains a big Wolverine, Piston and Tigers fan. When not watching sports he likes to read, play some bridge and dream of travelling again.
