Career Background

Jeffrey Roth is a Founding Partner of Bruin Capital where he serves as the company’s financial, strategic, and deal lead. A highly-accomplished investment, M&A, and finance executive, Roth combines his experience with a nuanced perspective for the changing dynamics of the sports, media, technology, and entertainment landscape. Roth is responsible for leading investments, including structuring and negotiating terms, financial analysis, due diligence, coordination with advisors, and assisting portfolio companies with strategic and financial matters.

Jeff plays an integral role in all of Bruin’s acquisitions and continues to shape and execute Bruin’s investment strategy. Today, the Bruin portfolio spans 38 offices in nine countries with 1,700 personnel. Under Roth, Bruin has completed 22 acquisitions and led the early-stage funding of 21 technology ventures with follow-on rounds to 19. In recognition of this work and his leadership, Roth was named to Sports Business Journal’s prestigious 40-Under-40 list as well as Leaders 40 list of the sports industry’s best young talent in the world.

Before Bruin, Roth was a Vice President at Allen & Company, where he advised both large and small-cap media, entertainment, technology, and sports clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raises, and strategic initiatives. Roth began his career in the TMT investment banking group at Citigroup.

He holds a B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and currently resides in in Old Greenwich, Connecticut, with his wife and three daughters.
