Rich Wachter

Rich Wachter, BBA 1984, has worked as a Human Resources Executive at Danaher Corporation, since 2000.  He has held global Operating Company, Strategic Platform and Corporate Leadership roles where he developed and implemented benchmark programs and processes to recruit and develop high potentials leaders, drive culture change, engage associates, integrate acquisitions and drive diversity & inclusion.  A coach and mentor to many of Danaher’s business and HR leaders from early career to C-Suite roles, Rich has led and actively participated in General Management and Human Resources recruiting for Danaher at Michigan Ross and other top 10 US Business Programs. 

Sponsored by the Danaher CEO, in 2010-2013, Rich collaborated with Danaher’s C-Suite Leadership Team to lead the development of, and facilitated, the first Danaher Leadership Programs building leadership competencies for Danaher’s Group Executives, Company Presidents and High Growth (Emerging Market) Leaders. 

Under Rich’s leadership, Videojet Technologies, a Danaher Product Identification Company, was recognized in 2017 and 2018 as a  “Best and Brightest Company To Work For” by the National Association of Business Resources and “Top 101 Companies in the US”. In 2018 and 2019 Videojet was also recognized as a “Best and Brightest Company To Work For” in Chicago as earning an “Elite Award”,  for “Employee Achievement and Recognition”.

A keynote speaker and roundtable leader at national Human Resources Leadership Conferences, Rich was recently recognized as a 2020 “Top 50 HR Professional” by his peers earning the “ONCON ICON” award for Human Resources. 

Rich’s future plans include philanthropy and continuing to help others achieve success in their careers.
