Career Background

Roger Ehrenberg is Managing Partner of IA Capital Partners, IA Sports Ventures and Eberg Capital. IA Capital Partners has holdings across venture funds, direct investments in venture-backed companies, public equity, real estate and crypto. IA Sports Ventures holds Roger's investments in sports franchises and gaming including the Miami Marlins, Leeds United FC, Simplebet, Instabet, smarkets and WagerWire. Eberg Capital is a family partnership Roger has with his two sons, Andrew and Ethan, to invest in web3 infrastructure, NFTs, tokens, DAOs and gaming. Roger is also a founding partner of Greatwater Opportunity Capital, a real-estate investment firm based in Detroit that is focused on affordable housing to encourage young people and families to live, work and learn in the City.

Roger was previously the Founder and Managing Partner of IA Ventures, a seed stage venture firm based in NYC that has backed some of the most iconic technology companies of our generation including The Trade Desk (TTD), Datadog (DDOG), Wise (WISE.L) and Digital Ocean (DOCN). Earlier in his career, Roger served as CEO of DB Advisors, was Global co-head of Deutsche Bank’s Strategic Equity Transactions Group, and was an investment banker at Citibank in derivatives, capital structuring and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Roger sits on the External Advisory Boards of the College of Engineering and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, as well as serving as a member of the Data & Society Council of the Data Science Institute at Columbia University. Roger holds an MBA in Accounting, Finance and Management from Columbia Business School and a BBA in Finance, Economics and Organizational Psychology from the University of Michigan.
