Prior to Ross, I worked as a data scientist in financial services, handling end-to-end solution lifecycles from defining business cases, developing machine learning models to managing business stakeholders. I absolutely loved the problem-solving, data-driven aspects of the job, but gradually became aware of my desire to increase the scope of my work and explore intersections of finance and social impact. As I narrowed down on consulting as my next career move, I was driven towards Ross to pursue a formal business education because of its ample action-based learning opportunities and the welcoming culture. It was very important for me to find a fit with the school so that I could thrive and become the best version of myself, and Ross stood out to me on those lines.
