Hi everyone! I’m so glad you are considering the Ross School of Business as the institution you want to propel your career with! My name is Aditya, and I am from Ann Arbor, Michigan. When I enrolled in this University, I had two major thoughts running through my head. First, I was excited to attend a world-renowned school with a wide-variety of resources to help me succeed in business! Second, I was quite scared to find a small community within a large school. This fear was immediately gone as I was exposed to a multitude of different student organizations in the Fall and Winter. From distinguished Ross-orientated clubs to non-academic clubs, Michigan provides spaces for all types of students to find their home. Job recruiters praise all these student organizations because they perform at such a high level, providing you with a large professional network early on in college. Being born and raised in Ann Arbor, it can be hard to branch out in college – sticking to high school friends is so easy and comforting. However, I encourage you all to expand social groups to develop not only professionally, but also personally. Ross facilitates this by organizing classes that are interactive and collaborative. Every single day, I work in teams to complete group projects and assignments, which have come very useful when networking, recruiting, and applying for jobs.
Ross, and the University as a whole, truly makes an effort for students to find communities where they make lifelong relationships.. If you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer them, so please feel free to reach out. Go Blue!
Where is your favorite place to eat in Ann Arbor? My favorite restaurant is Avalon Cafe and Kitchen!
