After completing my undergrad at Vanderbilt University, with a major in Economics, I was looking for a change. I always knew I wanted to go into Accounting, and after I started recruiting with EY my junior year of college, I knew a Masters Program was inevitable. Although my undergrad had a MAcc program of its own, I found myself wanting a breadth of different business courses that I was not going to get there. I also have an itch to travel, so I wanted to explore a new city and call it my home once more before I started to work full time. After spending countless hours researching top MAcc programs, I ultimately found myself being drawn to the University of Michigan. Once I finally got to come to the city of Ann Arbor for a preview day in late November, my mind was set: I was going to the University of Michigan to pursue my Masters of Accounting.
Attending Ross was the best decision I could have made. Each day, I am surrounded by a diverse, intelligent, caring and driven group of people that push me to do my very best. We do everything from study together, to tailgate and cheer on our Wolverines together. In the shortest amount of time, we have all become a family.
I have accepted an offer with EY to work in their Tax Practice in NYC come January 2018, and I am very confident that my studies at Ross as well as my lifelong network of friends I have made here will benefit me for years to come.
