Hi, there, my name is Andy Wicklund and I am a member of the Ross Weekend MBA class of 2024. I completed my undergraduate studies in English and Secondary Education at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and I attended U of I again a few years later to earn my master's in Educational Policy, Organization, and Leadership. Prior to starting my MBA journey, I had a fifteen-year career at schools in Illinois, California, and Michigan as a teacher, soccer coach, and school administrator, teaching high school English and serving as a senior-class dean for five of those years. I went into education to make an impact on the world, and I am approaching my MBA studies as an opportunity to learn new skills, gain knowledge, and build a broarder network of colleagues that will open professional doors for me to expand that social impact. The Weekend program, and especially my team, has become a welcoming group for me, and I am excited to continue on in the program surrounded by fellow scholars and professionals challenging themselves and supporting one another as we take these next steps in our careers. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have; feel free to reach out.
