Anna Haas

I grew up in a small town in southern Oklahoma before moving to New York City, where I graduated from Barnard College in 2017 with a double major in Dance and Economics. I always knew I wanted to make an impact in my career, so after graduation, I sought opportunities to work in the non-profit sector. I first worked in membership fundraising at New York City Center, then moved into major gifts fundraising and prospect development at New York's PBS station, WNET. I loved the mission-driven work but realized I had a narrow understanding of the business world outside of non-profit organizations. I believe that business should be used for good and am pursuing my MBA to take my passion for impact to a variety of industries and projects while developing a stronger toolkit of business knowledge and leadership skills. When looking at MBA programs, Ross made me feel at home the moment I joined every Zoom call. I am happy to say that the community here has not disappointed. Ross has become a place where I can push myself both professionally and academically and know that I have support on all sides. Outside of Ross, I serve on the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees at a nonprofit in New York (Dance Project of Washington Heights), I love tap dancing and wakeboarding, and I am always looking for the best french fries in Ann Arbor.
