I started my career in an early-stage tech company that went on to become a global unicorn expanding its presence in 24 countries. During my 6-year stint at this company, I managed client relationships, led diverse sales teams and launched new products. I also got the opportunity to perform cross-functional and cross-cultural roles, and those experiences were pivotal to my overall learnings. I wanted to go deeper into business and learn more about fundamental business principles to enhance my career, and hence decided to pursue an MBA. Being an electrical engineer by training, I knew nothing about 'business' before starting my career. I had learned everything on-the-job by doing things. Ross's focus on action-based-learning echoed with my learning style and UMich's highly collaborative culture made Ross my top choice for business school.
