Born and raised in Louisville, KY, I started my career in Hong Kong after graduating from the University of Chicago with a degree in English Language and Literature. My love for learning, language, and culture developed into a passion for education as I found myself mentoring students, teaching various subjects, and designing new courses for a private education company. When I moved to Beijing in 2017 to become the inaugural writing center manager for the Schwarzman Scholars Program at Tsinghua University, I saw an increased need to bridge the education sector and the business sector to form partnerships, engage with stakeholders, and take best business practices into the non-profit, education, and impact space. My move back to K-12 education immediately prior to Ross as a program lead was a step towards learning to scale ideas and build sustainable strategies that create impact. I was drawn to Ross because of its own commitment to impact and the opportunities it provides for students to pursue dual degrees with another field. Ross recognizes that all of our experiences coming in are unique and creates experiential learning opportunities and spaces for us to carve out paths that are as distinct as we are. I have found nothing but support and care from the community, and I believe wholeheartedly that there is no other MBA culture like Ross'.
