Class of 2023

From the beginning of undergrad, I had an interest in business and took a couple of courses, yet I never had the ability to formally study and explore what a business career could look like for me. After learning about Michigan Ross's Master of Management program, I found that not only did this program provide students with a business background, it also taught students how to be a leader in the field. I saw the element of leadership in the professors, as they have spent years leading the business world themselves. The program itself is the best in the country. Additionally, I noticed that the Ross Alumni Network was one of the largest and would allow me to learn from so many individuals in various industries, helping me better determine what role and industry I want to enter myself. My favorite thing about the program is the MM Consulting Studio because it provides relevant work experience by allowing you to work for a sponsor organization. This provides you a space to apply newly learned skills, and creates an environment where you and your teammates are able to learn without the fear of failure. The Career Development Office (CDO) was my backbone during full-time recruitment. Not only did they provide all OYM students with workshops, but I also met twice a week with a coach to discuss everything, whether that meant going line by line down my resume, working on my experience/preparation for interviews, etc. CDO was there for me and instilled confidence in me which helped me communicate my value to companies.
