Five years after graduating with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, I made a switch into healthcare management and since 2012, I have managed a cardiovascular clinic that has served over 15,000 patients. I knew that I needed to build the leadership skills required to excel in a strategic and executive role and, subsequently, I understood the significance of an MBA and the impact that it would have on my career.
The Michigan Ross Weekend MBA program was a perfect fit for me, as it gave me the flexibility that I needed to balance the demands of my personal and professional life and to continue maturing my career while pursuing an MBA. The Weekend MBA is unique in its focused, two-year timeline and in its cohort model, where I learned alongside exceptional classmates that come from a multitude of backgrounds and industries and that have become friends and colleagues for a lifetime.
The extracurricular experiences that I had at Michigan Ross were as beneficial and rewarding as the classroom experience. Whether it was case competitions, the Leadership Crisis Challenge, Story Lab, or any of the club events that I attended, each shaped my experience at Ross in a unique and invaluable way. The Michigan Ross experience was truly transformational and has given me the knowledge, the tools and, most importantly, the confidence that I will need no matter what I pursue in the future.
