Before Ross, I worked in the oil and gas industry, optimizing refinery operations and developing alternative energy technology. I decided to pursue an MBA because I wanted to understand the strategic decisions that drive business operations and profitability, develop my leadership abilities, and get exposure to multiple industries. While researching business schools, Ross piqued my interest because of the action-based learning approach and opportunity to deep dive into operations through the Tauber Institute. I also loved the close-knit, collaborative community, and my interactions with Rossers both on and off-campus ultimately solidified my choice. Since arriving, I have discovered many resources Ross and the broader University of Michigan offers to help students succeed and achieve their goals. The people are amazing, and I look forward to the next two years here. I moved to the US from Nigeria for undergrad, so if you have any questions about moving to the US as an international student, I am happy to be a resource.
