Class of 2023

Technology has always been a huge passion of mine. It's what led me to pursue a degree in Automation and Control Engineering. Very quickly, however, through my experience in Product Marketing at General Motors, I realized that I was much more interested in being on the other side of the business, helping to bridge the gap between product development and consumer needs. The leadership development program I was selected into gave me the opportunities of gaining a more holistic view of the business via job rotations in Customer Care & Aftersales, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Sales Forecasting. To further broaden that knowledge and expand on my experiences at work, an MBA was a clear next step. I came to Ross for a multitude of reasons. I was passionate about going somewhere with a community as embracing as the one at Ross is towards people of all backgrounds. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, having lived in Michigan for five years while growing up, and one year in Aachen, Germany, during college, this was non-negotiable. I also wanted to be in a city that was built for and geared towards students, and Ann Arbor is precisely that. While applying, with every conversation I had with alumni and current students, I found I was always learning new details and nuances about Ross, and that really spoke volumes to the breadth and multitude of resources available here. From the many Sanger Leadership Center experiences, such as LDRx, to the Tech Club, the Marketing Symposium, all the available courses we could take, the game day experiences, and everything in between, I knew I would have the perfect opportunities to leverage my MBA experience and tailor it to my specific goals and objectives. Also, Zingerman's (kidding. Or am I?).
