I am currently working on Global Product Planning and Strategy at Ford Motor Company. In this role, I lead product strategy developments in digital space (infotainment and connectivity). My daily responsibility includes two critical components: (1). Develop product strategies to secure market leader position (2). Get buy-in from senior management teams across marketing, engineering, finance, program, etc. Prior to this role, I spent several years on self-driving car projects and rotated through major task force teams to gain comprehensive experiences on both technologies and business applications.
Choosing to come to Ross was a critical step for my transition into business and future endeavors, however making such a decision is by no means easy. Now I am glad that I chose the right one. My experience at Ross has been great so far. Learning from world renowned professors with their latest thoughts on how business makes positive impacts on society, interacting with high caliber classmates from diversified industries, taking leadership roles in various clubs to serve fellow students, participating case competitions to demonstrate teamwork and structured thinking..., what could be more exciting than to be part of such a dynamic environment? On top of all these, working with senior executive teams from one of the fastest growing FinTech company in China during MAP project provided me both real-world experiences of applying latest theories to tough business problems and exposures to C-level thinking. All of these were just what happened in year one along with my full-time responsibilities at Ford, more to come in year two.
