Harshita Pilla

Prior to Ross, I worked in the world of real estate and construction and helped bring large scale projects - from student housing to co-working spaces - to life. Most recently, I was in a cross-functional role at WeWork where I was able to analyze construction project data to drive process and design efficiencies. This experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment made me realize that there were many ways to approach urban development. My belief that access to affordable housing is a fundamental human right drives my long-term desire to develop innovative solutions to address housing insecurity. My desire to explore this intersection ultimately resulted in my decision to pursue a dual masters in Urban Planning and Business. I chose the University of Michigan, and Ross specifically, because of its strong emphasis in utilizing business as a tool to create tangible social impact.
