Prior to Ross, I spent four years working in Washington, D.C. at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a public policy think tank. What is a think tank? Basically a research institution that formulates, and tries to advance, solutions to some of society’s most pressing problems. I worked on a lot of issues at AEI, and I enjoyed learning about new problems and how to effectively analyze them (most of the time). Additionally, some of my favorite projects involved me working with professionals in the private sector, and most had MBAs. Once I realized an MBA seemed right for me, I had my sights set on Michigan Ross for a variety of reasons, especially because of its collaborative environment. Feel free to reach out with anything, but definitely if you are concerned about pivoting to business school from a non-traditional background.
