Jill Dannis

Class of 2024

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and spent 12 years in Los Angeles prior to Ross. Prior to graduate school, I worked in the nonprofit sector across a variety of mission areas, including LGBTQ+ youth suicide prevention at The Trevor Project, access to higher education and leadership development for LGBTQ+ students at Point Foundation, and early talent development, diversity, equity and inclusion at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Aside from the amazing community of people that make up Ross, I chose to pursue my MBA here because of the focus on social impact and the hands on-learning opportunities that would help me acquire the skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in human capital and corporate social responsibility. Outside of work you can find me attending concerts, exploring restaurants and breweries in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area, or getting outside for a hike or a bike ride. I'm happy to chat about what it's like to move from California, moving with a partner (and cats and puppy), being LGBTQ+ at Ross and anything related to social impact.
