Prior to coming to Ross I was a submarine officer in the US Navy and then a high school math teacher. There are many veterans and former educators at Ross! If you are unsure about business school because you are what is affectionately referred to as a "non-traditional" candidate, please don't be nervous! Almost every student is changing careers. We are all new! I love to laugh and like to think I have a good sense of humor. My favorite shows are Schitt's Creek, Veep, the Office, and now Abbott Elementary. I went on Trek (Argentina!) before the semester started. Highly recommend if you can make it work. I'm exploring career opportunities in General Management, Marketing, and Sales. I grew up in Florida, but have been in the Midwest for a few years. If you are nervous about winter, I promise you can do it. As they say...there is no bad weather just bad clothes. The people at Ross are amazing! There is a sense of community and collaboration that I don't think you will find at many other schools. Best of luck with your MBA journey and GO BLUE!
