I have eight years of working experience in operation, supply chain, procurement, and project management in the oil & gas sector, and that helped me realize the need to pursue a Master of Supply Chain Management degree to enhance my skillsets and meet global priorities by leveraging advanced analytical and decision-making tools. I chose Michigan Ross because under the supervision of top faculty, the core curriculum and the electives like Manufacturing and Supply Operation, and Big Data Management I knew I would be equipped with the technology and strategic nous to navigate an increasingly Volatile-Uncertain-Complex-Ambiguous (VUCA) business environment. Also, the strong alum base and working directly with companies in the Consulting Studio Project has elevated my supply chain knowledge. It has helped me build strong network and connection with industry leaders. The cohort's diversity has also helped us gain expertise and it’s brought forward various perspectives and ideas, which led to more creative and innovative solutions. The Career Development office is very approachable and helpful. They have organized several meetings, workshops, and seminars for resume building, mock interviews, networking, social media handling, etc. They regularly update the portal for job searching and organize events to meet the corporations and recruiters through career fairs, which I found effective for networking and job searching as an international student.
