Maddy Hauenstein
I come from an international development background focused on girl empowerment and economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa. My professional path is non-traditional, having spent time at the law firm King & Spalding, USAID, and a fashion start up, Talia & Nasya. I decided to get my MBA after working on the Presidential Initiative Prosper Africa, which focuses on increasing trade and investment between the United States and Africa. I realized that that the private sector has the power to make long-lasting sustainable change. I wanted to attend a rigorous school that would grow my business acumen and leadership, have a strong emphasis on impact, and have strong, kind, and supportive culture.
Please feel free to reach out, especially if you are coming from a non-traditional background! (Undergraduate me would have been very confused if I told her I was going to business school.) I am also a runner, a cat mom, and a family disappointment being a proud Wolverine from a family legacy of Buckeyes. Go Blue!
