I am a proud Hispanic Minority Business owner. Before Ross, I co-founded City Xpress which is a driving school to help the growing immigrant and refugee population attain their driver's licenses. I spent 8 years managing the day-to-day operations and actively advocating for the rights of undocumented students. I loved what I did, but wanted to expand my network and help other entrepreneurs reach their dreams. After having discussions with my brother-in-law about his experiences as an investment banker, I decided the best thing for me was to pursue my MBA. An MBA would help me pivot into a career in Investment Banking in Mergers and Acquisitions. With an MBA and my personal experience as an entrepreneur, I could provide a new level of understanding for deals. I researched schools with the help of Forte and Consortium and after speaking to multiple MBA students I realized that Ross was the best fit for me. The student community is very welcoming and collaborative. Ross is my family away from home. My goal is to continue to foster the Ross family and encourage first-generation students like myself to further their career opportunities.
