Class of 2024

Prior to Ross, I have always been involved in impact-based projects having been raised in a society with little accessibility to education and where children die as a result non-availability of life saving medications resulting from poor healthcare system. So early in life I was determined to change the narrative by choosing to study Pharmacy at Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. My dream and that others were facing serious challenges due to poor funding of education which made me to be active in the movements for better funding of education system in Nigeria.

Although my career fully started in the hospital as a logistic and clinical pharmacist where I contributed massively in saving lives, I realized that a strong healthcare system will not only achieve its primary objectives it is also a potent tool in eradicating poverty through development and sustainability of SMEs especially in healthcare. This led to my foray into business aspects of healthcare and gave me broader perspectives why most businesses in Africa struggle to live past few generations comparing to those in other climes.

I decided to go for an MBA program that will enable me to provide solutions to my society’s challenges and equip me for greater impacts. It was difficult to find a school and a community to achieve these until I found Ross. The strong commitment to impact projects and action-based learning where you learn business by doing it are not only symbolic in Ross but also very exceptional. As an African, finding home outside home is a big challenge but with the very collaborative community and robust DEI profile in Ross, it became my natural choice and my new home. You can never go wrong with Ross, so Go Blue!
