Peizhen Li

Hi there, my name is Peizhen, current a student of WMBA 2024. I completed my undergraduate studies and doctoral research at the University of Kentucky (Go Cats, Go Blue!!). I was planning to join academic research field after finishing school, but I end up being in the industry world. It’s been five years since I have worked in my current company-Emerson, I work as a product development engineer and project lead for Analytical and Medical group, which focus on developing solenoid valves for medical devices (Oxygen concentrator/ventilators)
I always wanted to do my MBA since the graduate from my bachelor’s degree, however, it didn’t happen, and I believe the time didn’t come until I moved to Michigan in 2020. Last year, I got to know the Ross program thru my own research and friend recommendation. Then, I decide to take the opportunity and next step of my career development. Hope to connect with more professionals thru this program and get to expose to other fields that I am not familiar with.
I am a mom of a two-year-old, and soon to be a mom of two. Life with school and a full-time job is definitely harder with toddlers and newborn, but if you are determined to do this, you will achieve it with no doubt! Trust yourself and go blue!
