Since graduating with a BA in Economics from Calvin College in 2013, I have spent my career diversifying my experiences at General Motors. After spending 2 years in Purchasing, I found a passion in Market Research, advocating for the customer during key decisions in the development of future vehicles. Shortly, I will begin a new chapter with a more strategic focus in the Global Portfolio Planning function at GM. Throughout my career, I have strived to differentiate my experiences and develop a well-rounded perspective of business in my pursuit to become a more effective leader. This goal coupled with my interest to develop a strategic mindset prompted my pursuit of an MBA.
The focus on action-based learning and positive leadership appealed most to me about Ross, in addition to the obvious prestige of the program and devoted alumni network. As a plus, the weekend program has allowed me to continue developing my career at GM, while applying lessons from business school in real time. My time in the program thus far has completely reinforced my decision to choose Ross, as collaborating with my high caliber peers on real world cases has provided a deeper, more impactful learning experience than ever before.
