Do you have a MyChart account? It's one of many applications at Epic, where I spent 5 years prior to Ross. As an Engineer and Account Manager at the largest electronic medical record (EMR) software company in the US, I studied how health systems operationalize patient accounting and hospital billing data. I loved developing skills as a facilitator of software solutions between end users and hospital IT administration, and the pandemic inspired me to dive deeper into how providers make decisions on the best treatment plan for patients.
I came to Ross to put my knowledge of the EMR to good use through the action-based learning, interdisciplinary clubs, case competitions, and partnership with the other graduate schools. There is an amazing network of students who span the healthcare industry (payers, pharmaceuticals/biotech, medical device, medical technology, consulting, and banking), and they are knowledgeable, passionate, and eager to work with others to advance each others' careers.
Above all, the students at U of M are our biggest asset and a differentiator amongst the top MBA programs, and I am happy to chat more about us! Ask me about life at Ross (classes, classmates, clubs), resources for healthcare knowledge, or moving around the US: Philadelphia, Durham, Los Angeles, New York City, Madison, and now, Ann Arbor.
