Join us for an engaging session on the impacts across FinTech including trends and opportunities. Scott Hamerink will also share his career path, experiences and impacts of FinTech. Scott leads strategy and consultation as an Associate Partner in IBM’s Enterprise Strategy (ES&iX) group. He leads advisory for business, digital transformation, and Fintech investments across Global Financial Services clients in this role. Before IBM, Scott led enterprise transformation efforts at Comerica Bank. A seasoned executive and entrepreneur, he has over 20 years of experience working across large organizations and startups. He received his MBA from The University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

Joseph Giles

From Wall Street to Running a Company: Life Lessons Key to Success

In his talk, Joseph Giles discussed the key learnings and practical considerations from working on Wall Street and running a PE-backed business in healthcare. Joseph is the President & CEO of Midwest Vision Partners, where he is responsible for leading MVP’s culture, growth strategy, and relationships with its physician partners. Prior to leading MVP, Joseph was the President and COO of Athletico, the third-largest physical therapy group in the US and before that, he held director level positions in private equity as well as in investment banking. Joseph holds MBA, JD and BBA degrees from the University of Michigan and serves on the boards of Florida Autism Center and Summit Dermatology Partners.
