Career Background

John Huang joined Twitter in 2017 as a Marketing Strategy and Operations Manager supporting senior leaders across consumer marketing, business marketing, communications, and marketing insights. His wide scope of evolving responsibilities ranges from annual strategy planning, managing marketing technology roadmaps, creating lead generation processes, advising on marketing channel strategies, and leading teams through GDPR regulatory compliance.

As a strong believer in experimenting with multiple career paths, John started his career as a technology and supply chain management consultant at Deloitte before joining Walmart’s Finance and Strategy rotation program after his MBA. Along the way his curiosity about entrepreneurship led him to found an MBA admissions consulting company before taking the leap of joining a 10-person EdTech startup, MindSumo, as the head of growth marketing prior to Twitter. John has had the opportunity to work with dozens of Fortune 500 companies and startups throughout his career which has allowed him to gain a breadth of knowledge and pursue a path of continuous learning.

Having grown up in a small, rural town in South Carolina where access to career resources and mentors were scarce, John is committed to using his experiences to help and mentor others whether it is 1:1 talks or posts to LinkedIn and Quora. John graduated with an MBA from the University of Michigan in 2015 and has an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Marketing, and Supply Chain from the University of South Carolina.
