China Entrepreneurship Network

The goals of the CEN are to help realize win-win results from US-China collaborations, to raise awareness on US-China interconnected social and environmental problems, and to provide hands-on entrepreneurial experience for students from the University of Michigan, CEN chapters, and other engaged universities. We provide resources and mentorship for students passionate about creating business solutions tailored to addressing social issues prevalent in the US and in China.

Community Consulting ClubThe Community Consulting Club (CCC) is one of the Ross School of Business most unique and popular student clubs. The CCC donates top-notch business experience to local non-profit institutions that otherwise would not be able to afford expert advice. The CCC requires students to put their business skills to work, even if they don't have prior consulting experience. The CCC matches current Ross students, both BBA and MBA, with local organizations in projects chosen during an application selection process to ensure the most useful combination of needs and capabilities for each project team.
Craft Beer Club

The Craft Beer Club provides business-minded students with the opportunity to learn about the growing craft beer industry. Through group discussions, guest speakers, and corporate events, members will gain first-hand insight into the business of craft brewing.

Detroit Revitalization and Business Initiative (Detroit R&B)

Discover. Engage. Commit. The Revitalization & Business Initiative brings together University of Michigan graduate students to discover the city of Detroit, engage with the Detroit community, and commit to promoting the resurgence of this great American city.

Emerging Markets Club (EMC)Emerging markets are regions in which "politics matters at least as much as economics" to the market. For us, at the Ross School of Business, emerging markets are primarily international, and include transition economies such as China, India, Brazil, etc., but can include local domestic markets, such as that of the Detroit Metro Area. The Emerging Markets Club is comprised of current and future leaders committed to economic growth using innovative and competitive management strategies, methods, and tools. We draw our inspiration from the likes of Mohammed Yunus of the Grameen Bank, C.K. Prahalad who coined the term "Base of the Pyramid" and, along with Stuart L. Hart, pioneered a new direction for companies such as S.C. Johnson, BP, DuPont, Unilever, ICICI Bank, and more. Through our annual career trek to Washington DC and student-initiated course in Winter A, we are continually proving Ross to be the nexus of academic, professional, and entrepreneurial activity in emerging markets.

Energy Club at Ross (ECR)

We are the club for people with an interest in the energy industry at the Ross School of Business. Our focus is on strategy, trading, finance, project development, and entrepreneurship- in the traditional and renewable energy sectors. The Energy Club seeks to draw together talented students who are interested in the field of energy. In addition to providing a forum for discussion and education, the club provides services to both recruiting companies and students to promote career development and employment. Energy Club Mission: Our mission is to provide for education and employment opportunities within the energy industry at Ross. We break this down into three primary objectives: 1. To incite interest in energy among students and faculty at the Ross School of Business 2. To provide a forum for students to learn more about opportunities in the energy industry and discuss energy-related topics 3. To facilitate career development in the traditional and renewable energy sectors by mentoring students and by reaching out to recruiters to connect them with available talent at Ross and the greater University of Michigan

Entertainment + Digital Media ClubThe Entertainment + Digital Media Club at the Ross School of Business is a student-run organization for MBA and BBA students actively pursuing careers in the entertainment and digital media industries. The club is focused on preparing students for careers in gaming, film, television, online media, music, and media technology. The club's mission is to facilitate the professional recruiting process by acting as a liaison between club members and digital entertainment and media companies seeking top business talent. Through on-campus events, annual career treks to firms in New York and Los Angeles and mentoring opportunities with senior executives in the entertainment & digital space, the Entertainment + Digital Media Club provides driven and passionate business students the opportunity to learn from and network with leaders in a variety of fields.

Using the diversity of our membership base as well as the resources in the Stephen M. Ross School of Business and Tozzi Trading Floor, we aim at providing an unparalleled hands-on learning experience to our fellow members by organizing valuation workshops, speaker series, trading simulations, etc.

Impact Investing Group

The Impact Investing Group is a student club dedicated to raising awareness and building interest in the impact investing field. Impact investing is investing with the intention of generating social or environmental impact alongside of a financial return. We equip our students with the knowledge and skills to help make a difference through the finance field.

Korea Business Club (KBC)Korea Business Club at Ross is a graduate student organization open to all MBA students who are interested in Korean cultures, communities and businesses. We provide information, resources, tools and guidance to members for careers in Korea and promote a deeper understanding of Korean business culture within the Ross community.
Lean In at the University of Michigan

Based on the philosophy of Sheryl Sandberg’s book ‘Lean In’, we aim to facilitate open dialogues about pertinent issues facing men and women. Using an intersectional framework, we bring together people from diverse backgrounds who are all united by the same vested interest in gender equality. We envision a global revolution that embraces women’s capabilities, starting here, with the University of Michigan.

Managing Ourselves: A Practical Finance Seminar

Managing Ourselves is an organization dedicated to teaching personal finance to local Michigan high school students.

MEG Consulting

MEG Consulting is a consulting club that works with the University on consulting projects. Our relationship with the school is a symbiotic relationship where our projects can help the school with projects stemming from energy efficiency to marketing, while our members can get real world experience with consulting projects and working with clients.
