Country’s Top CEOs Complete New Executive Program at Michigan Ross

On May 1-6, 40 of the country’s top entrepreneurial leaders put their passion and prowess to the test during QuantumShift, a five-day executive development program at Michigan Ross.

QuantumShift is a collaborative effort between Michigan Ross and leading audit, tax, and advisory firm KPMG LLP. All participants were nominated by KPMG and applications were reviewed by the Zell Lurie Institute, creating a diverse pool of men and women from different backgrounds and industries. To qualify, applicants had to be CEOs or founders of a high-growth private U.S. company and vested in the direction, potential, and success of their organizations. The participants’ organizations average a combined $62 million in revenue and a combined total revenue of $2.4 billion.

The program, co-founded by Ross Professor Stewart Thornhill, provides participants the opportunity to elevate their company to the next level, allowing them to step out of their comfort zones and collaborate and connect with fellow entrepreneurs. The high-level sessions gave participants new perspectives on the ways they can continue to grow their companies.

Michigan Ross is the only business school in the U.S., and one of only two institutions in the world, to offer such a comprehensive program. Now that participants have successfully completed QuantumShift, they will now have access to Fellows Network, where they can continue building relationships and seek advice, adding another unique element to the program. Ross professors Kim Cameron, Jeff DeGraff, Bob Quinn, and others, along with key business leaders, gave their insight and expertise during various workshops, touching on topics including innovation, organizational growth, and workplace culture.

Ranked in the top four business schools for entrepreneurship by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine, Ross’ culture is deeply rooted in innovation and collaboration, essential elements in this area.
