Michigan Ross Awarded for Outstanding Executive Training Program With Oracle
The EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development) Excellence in Practice Awards recognize outstanding and impactful client-supplier partnerships in leadership and development.
Michigan Ross developed the program for Oracle, called Accelerate Executive Insight (AEI), in partnership with University of Navarra IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. Now in its 21st edition, AEI was created to provide Oracle’s top executives with a common vision, nomenclature and platform to enhance their leadership potential, teams results, and company performance.
EFMD selected AEI for the award based on its effectiveness in carrying out that mission and the remarkable impact its had on the people and organization at Oracle, helping to transform and empower its executives to successfully lead teams as business priorities shift due to industry changes.
“We are truly honored to be recognized with this Excellence in Practice award for our AEI program with Oracle, as it is one of our longest and most accomplished Executive Education programs,” said Jeffrey Sanchez-Burks, faculty director of the Oracle program and professor of management and organizations at Ross. “This award is a great testament to the enriching partnership we’ve been fortunate to forge with Oracle. Without a doubt, it inspires us to continue our efforts toward making a positive impact among Oracle’s top talent.”
Designed collaboratively by Michigan Ross, Oracle, and IESE, AEI gathers participants from diverse business lines, regions, functions, and cultures to learn together across two global venues and a virtual learning platform. Through a highly engaging blended learning format, AEI broadens participants’ strategic mindset and customer-centric approach, while boosting their capacity to align and inspire others as models of authentic leadership.
After spending a week learning technology and strategy at IESE, Michigan Ross welcomes Oracle participants for a week-long session focused on positive leadership in Ann Arbor. Ross also incorporates its signature action-based learning experiences into its custom programming, including activities that help give back to the local community.
“We are very proud of the Accelerate Executive Insight program and are committed to this executive education experience as a key driver of strategic thinking and authentic leadership as we continue our transformation to a cloud services company. We are thrilled to be awarded this Excellence in Practice award in recognition of the impact AEI is having on the business,” said Jo Tilson, global head of Top Talent Development Centre, Oracle.
In addition to AEI, Michigan Ross also leads two other Executive Education custom learning programs for Oracle. More than 1,200 of Oracle’s top-level executives have participated in at least one of the three programs since AEI was launched in 2014.
Michigan Ross’s winning case will be showcased during EFMD Executive Development Conference to take place at IESE in Barcelona, November 11-13, 2019.
