It turns out operations principles from manufacturing can help healthcare professionals better manage care, saving billions of dollars and potentially hundreds lives each year. Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Research Wally Hopp explains that process in this video. Hopp, an expert in operations and supply chain, has worked with other Michigan Ross professors and colleagues at U-M Hospital on applying these principles in the field.
