Students at a club
Clubs & Involvement

At Ross, there’s no shortage of ways to get involved outside the classroom. Challenge yourself to take on a leadership position, pursue your passion in a student club, or take on the thrill of case competitions  and build meaningful connections along the way. Your time here is what you make it, so make it count!

Take the Lead

A great business without a great leader? Doesn’t happen. Leadership is at the heart of building a better world through business, which is why you’ll find many ways to sharpen your leadership skills while in the BBA program.

BBA Council
Be the voice of your classmates. This peer-elected council acts on behalf of the student body to partner with Ross leadership and promote positive change within the school.

Ross Undergraduate Student Advisory Board (RUSAB)
Have an opinion about what courses should be offered at Ross? Advocate for the future of Ross academics by joining this representative body of the BBA class.

Town Halls
Town halls are a great way to share your input directly with deans, faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as your fellow classmates. Look for town halls at least once a term.

Find Common Interests & Exceptional Connections

Explore emerging technologies in Michigan FinTech, be of service through groups like Maize and Blue Cupboard, hit the rink with Ice Hockey Club, or check out a variety of other social, sport, community, identity, or career-based groups.

We provide students the community and platform to explore private equity and venture capital through educational instruction and real-world applications. Our club is positioned in an open-source format, giving the general student body access to certain events i.e. interactive seminars and workshops. Internally, our associates build the organization up from ground 0, acquire the technical capabilities required to thrive within the competitive verticals, compete in investment challenges, and so much more.

Michigan Stocks and Bonds Organization (MSBO) is a leading investment club open to all University of Michigan undergraduates at any level of investing experience. We strive to make students become well-versed investors, professionals, and collaborative teammates, preparing them for positions at leading companies. Most of all, we are a tight-knit and diverse community that can call itself a family and have fun!

Our mission is to empower undergraduate women by providing a supportive community where we collectively strive to become knowledgeable and proficient in the realm of finance. We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes financial literacy, investment education, and professional growth. By leveraging our diverse backgrounds and perspectives, we aim to equip our members with the tools, skills, and confidence to navigate the complex world of finance successfully. Through interactive discussions, workshops, guest speakers, and hands-on investment opportunities, we endeavor to cultivate a strong foundation of financial understanding and strategic thinking. Our ultimate goal is to empower each member to secure their economic futures and become leaders in the field of finance. Together, we aspire to shatter barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create a lasting impact in the world of finance as confident and well-versed women.

We are a professional network with members of all disciplines at the Ross School of Business focusing on the intersection between environmental sustainability, social impact, and business. We conduct several projects with both local businesses and larger companies over each semester. Throughout the year, we host fun events, various speakers, and panels.

Out for Business strives to accomplish three goals: to build community among the queer members of the Ross community, to provide professional development resources for our membership, and to raise awareness among all Ross faculty, staff, and students of the issues facing queer individuals in society.

Out For Business Undergraduate is committed to both creating a community on campus that is inclusive for LGBTQ+ students in addition to developing the professional acumen of its members. We are open to all students at the University of Michigan interested in business and related fields. Through social, affinity-focused, and professional events, we seek to provide a community that is accepting for everyone - LGBTQ+ students and allies included.

Show What You Know

Case competitions are your chance to represent Ross and compete against the best and brightest from other B-schools. Put your leadership and academic knowledge to the test by working with a team to propose solutions for common business challenges. Case competitions are hosted around the country throughout the year. And did we mention? The winners don’t just get glory; they can earn prize money, too.

National Diversity Case Competition
This case competition brings together diverse talent who identify dynamic solutions to  real-world problems. The case competition, held annually over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, also gives students the chance to network with corporate partners in attendance.

Women’s Case Competition
Hosted by the University of Texas at Austin, all-female teams in this case competition present solutions to a variety of current challenges facing participating businesses. Women’s Case Competition is a chance for students to connect, learn, and show off their skills.

UBSLC Case Competition
The Undergraduate Business School Leadership Conference case competition, hosted by Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, gives students a platform to address real world issues while testing their analytical skills and their ability to work under pressure.
