Career Background

Robert Turner is Field Vice President & GM for McDonald’s Long Beach Field Office. He started his journey with McDonald’s in early 2019 as part of its executive accelerator program.

Prior to joining McDonald’s, Robert enjoyed 10 years of success at PepsiCo, first as a Finance leader and later as Sales Director for the Heartland Region, where he helped spearhead a full scale business turnaround over a 2 year period, becoming the top performing region in the country. Robert honed in on his ability as a cross-functional leader throughout his time at PepsiCo, leading teams across several key functions including Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, and Innovation. Prior to his MBA, Robert served in management roles with both Walmart and Starbucks, but also fondly remembers starting his professional career as a high school math teacher in his hometown of Detroit, MI.

Robert earned his bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Wayne State University and his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.

Robert currently lives in Nashville with his wife, Candace, and daughter, Alex. Some of his favorite hobbies include pickup basketball, poker with friends he met while in business school, and most importantly getting into all sorts of mayhem with Candace and Alex.
