Career Background

Valerie Woerner earned her MBA in Finance at Ross and her BA in Psychology from University of Michigan becoming CEO of a manufacturing company where she began coaching a team of C suite and emerging leaders that collaborated to grow revenue from $3 million to $100 million over ten years. She has formally coached executives for over 20 years at corporations, boards, non-profits and at universities where she designed and taught an array of courses that included finance, entrepreneurship, human resources management, venture formation financial strategy and ag credit and finance. Her C-level industry experience includes extensive manufacturing, banking, agriculture, food processing, academia, grocery, elevators & dampers, trucking, construction, and metal processing. She’s committed to making positive differences, remembering that life is about how we make others feel. 

In 2017 Valerie pivoted her corporate CEO career establishing CEO at your Service, a consulting company focused on executive coaching. She is also an experienced and collaborative Board member having served on numerous boards that currently include Matot, Inc., a manufacturing company in Chicago and Ross Alumni Board of Governors. 

Valerie is a founder of A Seat at the Table, a leadership empowerment and DEI organization for women, was selected as an honoree for Private Company Director magazine's “15 Directors to Watch” as well as has authored articles for their magazines. She is recognized for her passion for coaching, enhancing individual and company viability through team building, financial expertise, innovation, vital collaborative strategic alliances, labor relations, curiosity, sand box skills, M&A expertise, strategic planning, lifelong learning, and fitness/health devotion including decades of ballet, daily exercise, and responsible nutrition.
