Transportation Details

When you are planning your travel to and from the airport, check Slack to share rides, meet for coffee, and stay in touch with other admitted students and partners after GBR.

We will be providing shuttles throughout the weekend between the Kensington, Courtyard Marriott, and Holiday Inn hotels. Full shuttle schedule to be released in late March.

Check-in window runs from 3:15 - 5:15 p.m. Please be sure to arrive by 5:15 for our welcome kickoff at 5:30 p.m.

If you would like to attend a Ross building tour and the Professional Clubs and Funds fair, we recommend arriving closer to 3:15 p.m.

Please note that lines at GBR check-in can be long due to crowd size; please plan your arrival accordingly depending on the activities you would like to attend.

Ann Arbor Eats Dinners at Restaurants
Various Ann Arbor Restaurants

Attendees will be assigned to dinner locations across downtown Ann Arbor to meet and mingle with your fellow admitted students, partners, and current students! Dinner assignments will be sent out a week prior to GBR. Shuttles will drop all attendees off in downtown Ann Arbor, restaurants will be within a 1-7 min. walk from the drop-off point.

Latin Vibes (Optional)
Necto

End the night with Latin Vibes, a fun social event put on by our Latin America Business Student Association (LABSA). Admitted students who indicated an interest in attending on the GBR registration form will be given wristbands for entry at Necto.

Please note that this is not a Michigan Ross Admissions-hosted event.

“Tell Me About Yourself…” with the Ross Career Development Office
In this interactive session, the Ross Career Development Office Staff and Peer Coaches will help you craft a compelling “Tell Me About Yourself” response to start using during MBA networking situations. Networking is key to a successful job search, and it starts now. You’ll have the opportunity to practice using a structured framework and receive constructive feedback to equip yourself with the necessary tools and confidence for a successful MBA journey at Ross.

MBA Success Blueprint: Goals, Connections, Resources at Ross with the Sanger Leadership Center
In this dynamic session, GBR participants will begin to uncover and identify your long-term MBA goals and chart a strategic path to propel you toward your desired destination. As you do so, we invite you to cultivate meaningful connections within our vibrant community and build at least 3 high-quality connections that showcase the power of collaboration. We’ll end the session exploring the wealth of resources at Ross, including insight into programs offered for personal and professional development as well as student testimonials sharing their unique journeys and experiences.

Undecided Students: Making BIG Decisions with Nicole Smith ‘11

Big decisions can feel overwhelming—but they don’t have to be. Executive coach and Michigan Ross alum Nicole Smith (MBA ‘11) breaks down the science of decision-making and shares a simple but powerful three-step framework to help you make choices with confidence and without second-guessing. There will also be time for Q&A and live coaching—so bring your questions and leave feeling empowered to make the choices that work best for you.

Matriculating Students:  Getting to Know the Traditions of Ross

You’ve decided on Ross, and we’re thrilled! Join current MBA students to learn all about the traditions of Ross and what a day in the life of a Rosser is like.

Drop by to explore the various social clubs at Ross and learn about local apartment complexes in Ann Arbor. A member of the Ross financial aid team will also be available to answer any questions you may have about funding your MBA.

The Consortium Capstone

For Consortium members, please join us for this signature event to learn more about the Ross Consortium community,  how the Career Development Office supports you in preparing for Orientation Program (OP) and mingling with Consortium students and alumni.

Join a current student for a walking tour of Ann Arbor! Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and pack layers for any type of weather - spring in Ann Arbor can vary.

We will have additional opportunities for a building tour of Ross.

Our event concludes with a highlight, celebratory dinner at the Jack Roth Stadium Club at Michigan Stadium - also known as the Big House.

Partners

Partners are encouraged and invited to attend all events throughout GBR weekend. We will offer partner-specific programming on Friday, which will allow them to meet one another and spend time with current partners. 

Although we provide the partner programming, the decision to attend is ultimately up to each individual. If a partner prefers to stay with their admitted student and attend the student programming, they are welcome to do so.
