Business Analytics and Statistics --- The ability to make intelligent decisions based on data and information is critical for both managers and firms, particularly in the modern era with large amounts of data readily available. This course teaches the fundamental analytical and statistical tools to enable such analysis and decision-making. Students are taught how to describe, gather and analyze business data. This entails hands-on computer exercises on real data sets, both in class and in homework assignments. Model-building, analysis, and effective communication of recommendations are taught, using examples from a variety of business contexts such as finance, marketing, operations, and strategic management.
