Michigan Ross changed the landscape of business education 25 years ago with its signature Multidisciplinary Action Projects (MAP) program. Today, innovation continues: No other school can equal our students’ opportunities to start, advise, lead, and invest in real-world businesses. We call this Ross Experiences in Action-Based Learning: REAL.
REAL.START
Students develop a new business based on an original idea with the intent of achieving economic viability.
REAL.ADVISE
Student teams consult with a real-world organization on a pressing issue of strategic importance, providing substantive analysis and recommendations.
REAL.INVEST
Students manage eight focused investment funds, totaling more than $10 million in assets, in all aspects of their operations.
REAL.LEAD

Putting our students in real-world situations — with faculty guidance but with real stakes — helps prepare them to thrive and lead in a dynamic world. We took this concept to a new level when we introduced our groundbreaking MAP course more than 25 years ago. And we continue to innovate today with new courses like the Living Business Leadership Experience, +Impact Studio, and Business Consultant Corps program.
