M-Compass is the University of Michigan’s campus-wide system for education abroad opportunities. Through M-Compass, you can search for opportunities (by location, program type, etc.) and apply to study abroad programs across campus that suit your unique interests.


U-M Study Abroad Offices and Programs

U-M’s many schools, colleges, centers, and institutes provide a wide range of global courses, fellowship programs, volunteer experiences, international internships, and other opportunities for you to advance your global education. U-M International Center’s Global Engagement and Education Abroad Team
The Global Engagement and Education Abroad (GEEA) team helps make students aware of all U-M opportunities for global engagement, while specializing in advising on external (non-UM) study, work, and travel abroad opportunities. In addition to advising, GEEA offers many cultural events, programs, and activities. Take a look at their events calendar and participate in the cultural exchange opportunities that interest you. 

Center for Global and Intercultural Studies (CGIS) 
CGIS provides global learning opportunities to U-M students of all majors.

International Institute
The Area Studies Centers offer coursework for undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as lectures, workshops, performances, films, and on-campus events. Each Area Studies Center offers e-mail announcements of their events, and information on funding and job opportunities specific to that Center's region. The International Institute offers scholarships for U-M undergraduate and graduate students.

International Programs in Engineering
International Programs in Engineering offers global opportunities for Engineers; some opportunities are open to students from all schools and colleges, including entrepreneurship programs.
