Summer Business Experiences

Traditional internships aren't the only way to gain valuable professional experience. Michigan Ross Summer Business Experiences give BBA students the opportunity to work on real projects at  organizations across many areas of business over the course of the summer.

Faculty member teaching

Work with Faculty

Through research assistantships, students can find opportunities to work directly with a faculty member whose research aligns with their career interests. Our Career Development Office works with faculty to post summer opportunities throughout the year.

Ross BBAs may also participate in the University of Michigan Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP), which creates research partnerships between students and U-M faculty.

Earn Academic Credit

In addition to professional experiences, you can also take advantage of Ross summer opportunities offered for academic credit.

Earn core and elective business credits in just four weeks throughout the month of May. These 1.5 and 3-credit courses are open to all U-M juniors and seniors and can be completed before June internships begin.

Learn more about the principles and practices that empower people to create positive work environments in this spring course focused on Positive Organizational Scholarship (POS), a field of study founded at U-M.
