Patrick Firlik, BBA '14, recently wrote a book titled "Define Yourself: A Guide to Identifying Your Life Principles and Creating Your Personal Compass". The book is a blueprint for identifying and documenting your guiding principles which will serve as a compass to guide you through life. Congratulations!  Est. 6.2021

Russell Anmuth, BBA '93, a member of the Nexteon Technologies strategy team, announced that renowned venture capital pioneer Dixon Doll (MSE '65, Ph.D. '69) has joined the company’s Board of Directors. A number of notable University of Michigan alumni have been instrumental in helping Nexteon further its strategic objectives, including Strategic Advisory Board member Andrea Fischer Newman (AB '79, Michigan Regent 1995-2019) and investor Cabot J. Marks (AB '88). Additionally, nationally recognized air traffic engineering expert Dr. George Hunter (BSE Aero '80, MSE '82) also serves as Nexteon’s Chief Scientist. Congratulations! Est. 4.2021

Kelly (Kel) Dylla, MBA '08, was made the next executive director at Sitka Music Festival. Kel’s appointment comes at a pivotal time of change and opportunity for the organization with the re-opening this summer of the Miner Music Center at Stevenson Hall, a multi-million dollar renovation for SMF’s professional summer concert series and pre-professional cello seminar. Kel Dylla’s 25-year career has evolved from roots as a New York-based violist and teaching artist to an executive leader for arts organizations including the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and Kirkland Arts Center where she led key initiatives for community and audience engagement. William (Bill) Judice, BBA '89, Founder and President of Connecticut Country Productions recently released his first album by Ole Man Country entitled Vintage Rocker. The album consists of seven Country/Rock songs and is available on all the major streaming platforms including Apple Music and Spotify. Bill wrote all the lyrics and was also the executive producer of the album. Bill is currently working on releasing several additional singles which will be available throughout 2021. Bill also works closely with the U-M Office of Undergraduate Admissions as an Alumni Student Recruiter. Est. 2.2021

Holly Sharp, MBA '09, wrote a non-fiction children's book to help children learn about 100 different career options - including business! Her book includes 100 different role models, each with a story to tell about a different career path. Sena Kwawu, MBA' 93. was recently selected as Board Member and Treasurer for the Executive Leadership Council, the preeminent membership organization committed to increasing the number of global Black executives in C-Suites, on corporate boards and in global enterprises. Barbara Webb, BBA/MAcc '94, a director with the professional services firm, MGO LLP and co-founder of the MGO Chicago office this year, is leading the firm’s expansion in the Midwest.  Est. 2.2021

Kagan Seymenoglu, MBA '06,  founded Longevita, the medical tourism business in 2012. It is now ranked 31st among Britain’s top 100 companies with fastest sales growth in the last 3 years by The Sunday Times. Congratulations! Est. 2.2021

Winston Ma, MBA '03, published his new book "The Hunt for Unicorns: How Sovereign Funds Are Reshaping Investment in the Digital Economy" with Wiley publishing. Congratulations!  Est. 11.2020

Brian Resutek, BBA '02, set a Guinness World Record by becoming the fastest individual to carry a household appliance in a 1/2 marathon. Brian set the record in September in Georgia by carrying a full size dishwasher for the 13.1 mile race in 2 hours and 45 minutes, beating the previous mark by nearly 15 minutes and raising money for various non-profit organizations. Theresa Sigillito Hollema, BBA '85/ MBA '96, recently wrote a book titled 'Virtual Teams Across Cultures: Create Successful Teams Around the World.' The book combines academic research, inspiring stories and practical advice to support global virtual leaders and teams. Congratulations! Est. 9.2020

Ron Heller, MBA'79, received the 2020 Po’okela Award from the Hawaii State Theatre Council, as Director of a Play, for The Mountaintop at TAG (The Actor’s Group). The show was presented in February/March of 2020, and is an imagined version of the last night in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., dealing with some of the themes that are now part of the Black Lives Matter movement. After 40 years practicing law, Ron is currently a grad student at the University of Hawaii, working on an MFA in Theatre (directing). He is keeping his day job at the Torkildson Katz law firm in Honolulu, handling contested tax cases and business/commercial litigation.      Congratulations! Est. 9.2020

Sergio Belisario Andrade, MBA ‘92, joined Amyris Biotechnology as President, Amyris Brazil. Amyris is a science and technology leader in the research, development and production of sustainable ingredients for the Clean Health & Beauty and Flavors & Fragrances markets. Prior to Amyris, Sergio served as Director of Operations and Supply Chain for Arysta LifeSciences and UPL. Congratulations!       Est. 9.2020

Ron Kim, LSA'90/MBA '05, joined Merck as its Chief Technology Officer. Merck is a global healthcare leader with a 125-year history. Prior to joining Merck, Ron was the Information Technology expert for TPG, a leading global investment firm with $100 Billion+ in assets under management. Before TPG, Ron was CIO of Exelon Utilities and a Partner at Accenture. Congratulations!  Est. 9.2020

Joe Haehner, EMBA '14, recently joined growth-focused advisory firm, Cherry Bekaert LLP, to the firm’s Industrial industry practice. Joe will be heading the firm’s FDI practice streamlining service offerings for clients with international activities. With an extensive background in international operations, he brings to the firm expertise in developing and executing multi-national operational strategies, implementing complex reporting structures and assessing opportunities for FDIs. Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Joe served in a corporate leadership role as the CFO. In addition, he spent 16 years working for a national accounting and advisory firm and a Big Four firm. Eric Flamholtz, PhD '69, co-authored a book (with Yvonne Randle, PHD), titled "The Crisis Leadership Playbook," published in July, 2020 by Vandeplas Publishing. The book examines cases of successful and unsuccessful leadership of crises, including at American Express, Chrysler, Disney, Kodak, Navistar, Sears, and Westfields. It provides leadership lessons and tools to manage crises. Congratulations!   Est. 8.2020

Stephen D. Field, MBA '77, wrote "How to Succeed as a Solo Consultant" (Business Expert Press, 2020), a comprehensive guide for anyone considering going out on their own as a consultant and the resulting impact on their family. He is enjoying semi-retirement by continuing to work with select clients. Congratulations!  Est. 8.2020

Akasha Absher, MBA '03, was promoted to president and became an equity owner at Syntrinsic, a Denver-based company she joined in 2013. Akasha oversees the firm’s efforts to provide investment advice and strategic consulting to private foundations, public charities, and philanthropic private clients. Akasha earned her bachelor’s degree in finance from Clark Atlanta University and her MBA from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. Congratulations! Est. 8.2020
