More Opportunities to Go Global

In addition to the study-abroad opportunities offered through Ross Global Initiatives, you have a number of other chances to gain overseas experience.

William Davidson Institute

WDI offers many ways for students to expand their global reach, through their Global Impact Internship Program, Global Impact Speaker series, support of select MBA MAP projects, and more.

Multidisciplinary Action Project

All first-year Ross MBA students participate in the MAP program, with about half the projects taking place outside the U.S.

Global Projects Course

Global Projects is an elective course that second-year MBA students may choose to take in the winter term. In line with the Michigan Ross commitment to action-based learning, the course offers a team of MBAs the opportunity to tackle specific projects for real-world sponsors. During the course, teams apply their knowledge to international projects addressing topics such as market entry, joint ventures, and strategic alliances.

International Business Immersion Course

International Business Immersion BA 685 is an experiential course for second-year MBA students designed to enhance global leadership capabilities, awareness of diverse business issues on the current international landscape, and on-the-ground experience in a specific country over the term break. To request an application or learn more about the course, e-mail [email protected] or visit the William Davidson Institute website.

International Center

The Education Abroad Office, a unit of the U-M International Center, provides information about options for studying, working, or traveling abroad to students and other members of the U-M community. The International Center is also the best place to visit for questions regarding international visa requirements.
