Career Background

Cindy Skaruppa spent over 20 years at Bain & Company, where she was a Partner in the firm’s Private Equity practice. In this role, she advised large-cap and middle-market private equity clients on investment diligence and strategic growth across a range of portfolio companies. She also led Bain’s North American PE Business Services practice, working closely with investors and operators on growth strategy, M&A, and organizational effectiveness.

Over the course of her Bain career — which began in the Chicago office in 2005 and included a decade in New York — Cindy held multiple internal leadership roles, including leading learning & development for the firm’s global Private Equity practice and heading Bain New York’s women’s program.

She recently left Bain to launch an investment firm, focused on investing in and scaling small and medium-sized businesses by leveraging her extensive experience in strategy and value creation.

Cindy holds dual undergraduate degrees from the University of Michigan: a BBA from the Ross School of Business and a BA in French Studies from the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. She earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and also a MA in Education from Stanford University. Cindy currently lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and two daughters.
