Dan Newman

Since 2015, Dan has served as a financial planning & analysis leader at RingCentral, a leader in cloud business communications.  During that time, the company’s run rate has grown 10x from $250M to $2.5B and increased profitability substantially.  Dan currently leads the company’s FP&A function.  

Over his career, Dan has held financial positions at industry-leading companies, including Wells Fargo, Goldman Sachs and Salesforce.com.  In addition, Dan worked for a venture-backed solar technology startup, supporting an exit to a European nuclear power company, and remained on to lead FP&A for the solar business unit at the new company.  He also led FP&A at a PE-backed SaaS communications company that was acquired by a public company.  

In addition to obtaining a BBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan, Dan holds an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dan and his wife have a son and a daughter and live in Belmont, California.  Dan and his son love to watch Michigan sports.  Attending the amazing 2024 Rose Bowl is one of their favorite memories together!
