Start the MAcc Program with a summer semester that includes two required prerequisite courses plus the MAcc Paton Summer Immersion Professional Development Seminar.

  • MAcc Paton Summer Immersion Professional Development Seminar

Over 14 weeks, you'll also build your industry knowledge and interviewing, networking, and executive presence skills through workshops and events.

$25,000+

All MAcc Paton Summer Immersion students receive fellowship support of at least $25,000 toward their MAcc degree.

 

How to Apply

To apply to the MAcc Paton Summer Immersion, you must choose ‘Summer Immersion’ instead of Fall Start in your Ross Master of Accounting application.

Applying to the MAcc Paton Summer Immersion will not affect your chances of admission to other One-Year Master’s Programs, should you choose to apply to multiple programs.

You will complete two accounting courses and a professional development seminar during the Summer Immersion before joining your MAcc cohort in August. The summer curriculum combines online and hybrid learning to minimize on-campus commitments while maintaining meaningful in-person engagement.

Required seminar

Immerses you in the accounting world and builds crucial skills, from interviewing to executive presence. In-person sessions fall on the days or evenings you are already on campus for Intermediate Financial Accounting.

4 credits Hybrid

Intermediate Financial Accounting

ACC 512

A hybrid course that meets in person on three class dates, with the remainder completed online.

Satisfies the Intermediate Financial Accounting prerequisite

2.25 credits Online

Strategic Cost Accounting, Control, and Analytics

ACC 599

A fully online course covering strategic cost management, control systems, and analytics.

Satisfies the Principles of Managerial Accounting prerequisite

Prerequisites

An undergraduate degree in any major is required before the program begins.

Summer Immersion students may choose to complete an approved Principles of Managerial Accounting course beforehand, but Intermediate Financial Accounting must be completed during the Summer Immersion.

Prerequisite courses may be completed at other accredited institutions. Please refer to the Master of Accounting Application Requirements for additional information on prerequisite requirements.

In-state: $16,023
Non-resident: $17,454

MAcc Paton Summer Immersion Scholars

All Summer Immersion students will receive a scholarship of at least $25,000 in tuition support, to be applied across the three MAcc semesters, with the following distribution: 20% summer, 40% fall, and 40% winter.
