Career Background

Debbie is a partner in EY’s Financial Services Office (FSO), with more than 20 years of experience serving global clients primarily in the Banking & Capital Markets practice, including commercial banks, investment banks, and mortgage lenders and servicers. Her client base includes SEC registrants, regulated banking institutions, SEC registered broker-dealers and CFTC registered futures commission merchants. Debbie’s experience includes assisting through significant events and transactions, including large business acquisitions, major accounting standard implementations and highly structured financial instrument transactions.

As a lead Partner, Debbie prioritizes bringing the full EY firm to her clients to share points of views on key business imperatives and industry/regulatory issues, leveraging her relationships from time she spent in the firm’s consulting practice and the firm’s National Accounting group, where she supported teams with respect to financial instrument topics, including fair value measurement. Debbie previously served as the FSO’s Initial Public Offering Leader. In this role she guided EY clients and teams through the IPO journey and IPO readiness, including the SEC registration process during one of the most active markets for IPO and SPAC transactions.

Debbie is passionate about developing EY talent, and is integrally involved in the firm’s recruiting efforts, with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity. She is a member of EY’s Black Professional Network Executive Council.

Debbie has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accounting from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and is a certified public accountant. Since graduating from Ross, she has remained active with the school, including prior service as the President of the Ross Alumni Board of Governors. Debbie and her husband Scott, who is also a Michigan graduate (1998), live in Hastings on Hudson, New York, with their two little boys.
