Evan Damast
Evan Damast is Head of Global Capital Markets at Morgan Stanley, based in New York. Throughout his over 20 years at Morgan Stanley, Evan has held a number of Senior Leadership roles across the Firm and was previously Global Head of Equity and Fixed Income Syndicate.
In his current role, Evan oversees the Capital Markets Division and continues to advise private and public companies and large capital providers of all types on raising and deploying equity and debt capital. Evan designs and implements solutions for important clients of the Firm’s Investment Banking, Global Capital Markets, Institutional Equity and Fixed Income Divisions. Evan has led dozens of Morgan Stanley’s industry-defining strategic, public and private capital markets transactions over the last two decades. Highlights include numerous transactions for AIG, Alibaba, Blackrock, Dow Chemical, Dupont, Google, Japan Post, Postal Savings Bank of China, Reliance Industries, Rivian, Spotify, Tencent, T-Mobile, Warner Music.
Evan was a founding Head of the Global Capital Markets Emerging Leaders Program and more recently in 2020 founded the Morgan Stanley Finance Academy, now in its 5th year helping high school students from underserved communities broaden their career opportunities. He is a founding Board Member at The Yellow Brick Road Project, an organization focused on curing rare genetic neuro-developmental diseases. Evan has been a member of the Advisory Board at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan since 2019.
Evan holds degrees from the University of Michigan (Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting) and New York University’s Stern School of Business (Master of Business Administration in Finance).
