Career Background

Jaime Harris is the National Manager of Business Development at American Express. Jaime is on the Strategic Sales team within Merchant Acquisition. Jaime signs high value merchant prospects ($1B+ in annual revenue) within B2B verticals that do not currently accept the American Express Card as a form of payment. Jaime has 15+ years of cross-functional experience at American Express across Sales, Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Advertising and Branding.

Jaime served as Director of American Express’ Global Advertising & Brand Marketing. Jaime provided financial consultancy support and strategic direction to the CMO of American Express. Jaime managed American Express’ global advertising budget and ensured the profitable launch of all U.S. and international media campaigns. She launched the co-branded Platinum and Lending Cards from American Express exclusively for Morgan Stanley. Jaime managed the American Express – Morgan Stanley co-brand partnership and delivered significant growth to American Express through the Morgan Stanley portfolio. Prior to American Express, Jaime worked at Goldman Sachs. Jaime worked in Controllership and managed the P&L for the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) trading desk.

Jaime is a graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP). Jaime completed international rotations across various financial functions including Internal Audit, Corporate HQ Financial Planning and R&D Finance. Jaime worked in J&J’s Pharmaceutical sector and owned the P&L for 30 new pharmaceutical compounds. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors – Phi Beta Kappa – from the University of Michigan. Jaime is a Certified Management Accountant. Jaime lives with her husband (Aaron, MBA ‘06) and their three children, all of whom are avid Michigan fans!

The Harris Family founded the “Aaron and Jaime Go Blue Scholarship!” to give back and provide need and merit based student support for students in the state of Michigan.
