Career Background

Mike Faremouth​ is a Co-Founder and President of Watervale Equity Partners (Watervale), a Cleveland, Ohio based private equity firm founded with the purpose of making control investments  in and partnering with lower middle market manufacturers and distributors of industrial and consumer products with a particular focus on engineered products companies.  Watervale collaborates with management teams during the diligence process to identify and evaluate potential opportunities for growth, talent and resource development, and operational improvement.  Watervale then partners with management teams to prioritize and execute those opportunities post-acquisition. 

Mr. Faremouth formed Watervale after spending 13 years at Linsalata Capital Partners (LinCap), a long time middle market private equity firm also based in Cleveland. As a Managing Director at LinCap, Mr. Faremouth’s responsibilities included acquisition searches, deal execution (including due diligence, negotiations, and financing), and portfolio company oversight. Prior to joining LinCap, Mr. Faremouth spent two years at Danaher Corporation where he was a Product Manager responsible for profit and loss, new product introductions, market research and business strategy in the Matco Tools business unit.  Mr. Faremouth began his professional career at Ernst & Young, where he worked for six years and rose to the level of Manager.   

Mr. Faremouth has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).

Mr. Faremouth met his wife Elizabeth on their first day of class at the University of Michigan Business School in 1993. They have two children, David and Faith, as well as two dogs, Brady and Blue. In his spare time, he enjoys distance running, upland and waterfowl hunting and spending time with his family.
